Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Glendower C. Ottley in London, England. Pendleton has received Ottley’s letter of Oct 22nd. Pendleton comments on the letters between himself and Mr. Friend, which he forwarded to Ottley with his last communication. In these letters, Pendleton and Friend discuss Church matters in South Africa. Pendleton was pleased to read Ottley’s account of the “Feast of Charity” held at the Burton Road Church in England. He writes, “It is good to hear news from the old stand and to feel the touch of the old Academy spirit, as it prevails in your midst.” Pendleton has just received word from Mrs. Tilson that Mr. Tilson’s operation was successful; Pendleton hopes Tilson will be able to serve the Church for many years to come.
