Letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary to Rev. Hugo Odhner, 1928-07-07
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary, Viola Wolcott Rennels, to Rev. Hugo Odhner in Toronto, ON, Canada. Rennels informs Odhner that his letter to the Bishop of July 4th arrived just as he (the Bishop) was leaving for New York, to depart from there to London. The Bishop expressed regret that more Canadian church members were unable to attend the Assembly, but he is glad that they will have one representative present. Rennels writes that Gyllenhaal has been communicating with the Bishop, and in light of the financial strain that Gyllenhaal’s relocation costs would put either on the Toronto Society or Gyllenhaal personally, the General Church has agreed to contribute $300 toward these expenses. Rennels sends Odhner wishes for “a pleasant voyage and a summer full of interest and inspiration.” Names mentioned: Mr. (Fred) Gyllenhaal
