Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Hugo Odhner, 1917-08-16
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Hugo Odhner in Kitchener, ON, Canada. Pendleton is glad to hear that the Kitchener Society was able to retain a satisfactory teacher in their school. Pendleton has no objection to Odhner using a college gown for doctrinal classes; They have found this to be suitable in Bryn Athyn as well. Pendleton approves of Odhner’s action in allowing the old Council to remain in place following Odhner’s appointment as Pastor, but he advises Odhner to make it clear that a new Council will be chosen as soon as arrangements can be made. Pendleton suggests that the appointment of new members to the Council will signify that the Church is entering into a new state. Names mentioned: Dr. (Robert) Schnarr
