Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Richard Morse in Sydney, Australia. Morse’s letter to Pendleton of August 13th arrived while Pendleton was on his customary summer vacation in the Adirondack Mountains. Pendleton was glad to learn that Mr. and Mrs. Henderson have arrived in Sydney. Morse has inquired whether the Academy might contribute financially towards the purchase of the property adjoining “Baringa” (the Pastor’s residence) for future school and/or other uses. Pendleton informs him that this will not be possible as the Academy and the General Church are currently accruing debt every year, despite having taken every possible economy. Names mentioned: Mr. (Cairns) Henderson, Mrs. (Eva Sandstrom) Henderson
