 Item
Identifier: RG.004.01

Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Richard Morse in Sydney, Australia. Pendleton has received Morse’s last letter with membership applications and baptism record cards enclosed. Pendleton will ask Mr. Caldwell to locate the article by Mr. Ball which Morse mentions as it may prove to be suitable material for publication in the Life. Pendleton discusses the clipping by Sir Joseph Carruthers which Morse enclosed in his last letter. Carruthers examines the state of politics in America in the aftermath of WWI, including American opinions on debt forgiveness and the “spoils of war.” In Bryn Athyn, they are busy preparing for the mid-year meetings. Pendleton writes that these meetings have grown in size and importance in the last few years, and he hopes they will continue to reflect the growth in the Academy schools and the General Church. Names mentioned: Mr. (Edwin) Freeman, Mr. (Will) Caldwell, Mr. Ball, Sir Joseph Carruthers
