Letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary to Rev. Richard Morse, 1919-03-20
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary, Freda Pendleton, to Rev. Richard Morse in Sydney, Australia. F. Pendleton acknowledges Morse’s letter to the Bishop of December 10th. She explains that in the Bishop’s absence, all letters are being handled by the Bishop Emeritus (W. F. Pendleton). The Bishop left Bryn Athyn in February to accompany Rev. Theodore Pitcairn on a missionary trip to South Africa. Being on the edge of a nervous breakdown, it was thought that the sea voyage would improve his health. If they are able to obtain passports and the necessary travel documents, the Bishop hopes to visit Morse in Sydney as well. Names mentioned: Bishop N. D. Pendleton, Rev. Theodore Pitcairn
