Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Richard Morse, 1916-07-07
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Richard Morse in Sydney, Australia. Pendleton has received Morse’s letter of April 19th. Pendleton reports that, although it first appeared attendance would be low, the recent General Assembly in Bryn Athyn had a record turnout of about 230 guests and resulted in a general feeling of unity and encouragement for the future. The questions which have been disturbing the Church were addressed, and a policy regarding them was presented and accepted. Pendleton has heard nothing further from Mr. Morgan. Pendleton feels that they “went as far in the matter as we could” and now they can only await further developments. Names mentioned: Mr. (Charles H.) Morgan
