Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Joao de Mendonca Lima, 1927-06-29
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Joao de Mendonca Lima in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Pendleton looks forward to seeing Lima in London for the 1928 General Assembly, on which occasion he (Lima) will be ordained into the priesthood of the General Church. Pendleton has not yet received word from Mr. Leonardos about whether he will be able to attend the Assembly as well. Pendleton regrets that he neglected to state in his last letter that, should Lima and Leonardos attend the London Assembly and be ordained, Pendleton will cancel his summer trip to Rio as the purpose of this trip will have been accomplished. Pendleton thanks the Rio society for its invitation, and he expresses his desire to visit Rio another time in the future. Pendleton assures Lima that he will be welcome in Bryn Athyn on his way to or from the Assembly, and he hopes Lima will arrange to stay there as long as possible. Names mentioned: Mr. (Henry) Leonardos
