Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Henry Leonardos in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Pendleton received Leonardos’ letter of Sept. 27th on his return from overseeing the district assemblies in Glenview and Pittsburgh. Pendleton informs Leonardos that his son, Henry, appears to be doing well at the Academy and that the membership applications of Mr. da Silva and Mr. Machado have been accepted. Pendleton is pleased by Leonardos’ reports of the society in Rio, especially by the way in which Leonardos arranged to have work continued there over the summer while he and Mr. Lima where away in Europe.
