Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Richard H. Keep, 1914-09-11
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Richard H. Keep in Brooklyn, NY, USA. Pendleton has received Keep’s letter of Sept. 10th along with his resignation as pastor of the Baltimore Society. Pendleton has notified Mr. H. W. Gunther, the society council’s secretary, that Keep’s resignation has been received, and he asks Gunther if the council still desires Keep’s withdrawal. Pendleton will notify Keep as soon as he hears the council’s final decision. If the council continues to desire Keep’s withdrawal, Pendleton thinks Keep “may find it best to consider [his] action in withdrawing as resulting from the disturbing publicity occasioned by the account in the Baltimore papers of [his] legal difficulties.” Names mentioned: Mr. H. W. Gunther
