Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich in St. Cloud, Seine et Oise, France. Pendleton has received Iungerich’s letter of April 16th. Pendleton continues to relay the latest in a series of letters exchanged between himself and Albert Bjorck. In this exchange, Bjorck argues, “The disturbance existing in the Church is caused by the uncharitable misrepresentation of the Hague position persisted in for years.” Bjorck accuses Iungerich of falsely representing the Hague doctrines in his attacks, and he believes the disturbance would end if the Bishop of the Church would put a stop to misrepresentations of the Hague position. In his reply to Bjorck, Pendleton writes that he will take counsel from the Consistory and the Executive Committee regarding the issue in June, and a decision will be reached on whether Bjorck may remain in the Church. Pendleton invites Bjorck to prepare a statement in his defense which will be presented to the assembled council. Names mentioned: Albert Bjorck, Bishop (N. D.) Pendleton, Mr. (Eldred Edward) Iungerich
