Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich, 1936-03-10
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich in St. Cloud, Seine et Oise, France. Pendleton has received Iungerich’s letter of Feb. 21st. Pendleton relays the contents of his reply to Mr. (Albert) Bjorck after Bjorck asked if it was advisable to publish a letter exchange between himself and Bishop DeCharms: “The copy of your letter to Bishop De Charms, which you have forwarded to me, is an open attack upon the General Church, which, on the face of it, involves your separation. If you did not intend that your letter should be so taken, you will, out of charity, recall all copies sent to other members, with an expression of your regret. The question between us now is not a difference of doctrinal interpretation, but of charity to the Church.” Pendleton has not yet received a reply, and he would like the matter to remain confidential for now. Names mentioned: Mr. (Albert) Bjorck, Bishop (George) DeCharms
