Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich, 1935-12-10
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich in St. Cloud, Seine et Oise, France. From Iungerich’s last letter, Pendleton has a better understanding of why Iungerich objects to having his letters read aloud in Consistory, i.e., the custom of sending out Consistory minutes and noting therein the letters read. Pendleton will, however, continue to share Iungerich’s letters with Bishop DeCharms. Both Pendleton and DeCharms enjoyed reading Iungerich’s keen response to Theo (Pitcairn), and they feel that it is Providential that Iungerich is stationed in Paris at this time. Pendleton reports that his wife, Beatrice, is currently bedridden with a broken ankle. Names mentioned: Bishop (George) DeCharms, Theodore (Pitcairn), Mrs. (Beatrice) Pendleton
