Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich, 1935-07-22
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich in St. Cloud, Seine et Oise, France. Pendleton encloses two letters from Mr. and Mrs. Allard which have been translated from French by Iungerich’s mother (Regina Hanau Iungerich) and sister (Solange Iungerich Howard). Mrs. Allard has apparently had a vision in which she saw the words “Go and Teach” written in gold and heard a voice command “Rise and go to your house work.” Pendleton assumes the Allards are or have been part of Iungerich’s congregation in Paris. Pendleton refers to the Allards as “the present day witnesses of a further revelation to our failing church” and he remarks that “Mr. Pfeiffer will surely be interested in this most recent, and so far highest call to repentance.” Names mentioned: Mr. (B) and Mrs. (S) Allard, Solange (Iungerich Howard), (Regina Hanau Iungerich), Mr. (Ernst) Pfeiffer
