Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich, 1934-03-09
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Pendleton reports that Mr. Caldwell had agreed to send issues of the Life to Rev. M. Krivosh for the next three months. Krivosh will also begin receiving New Church sermons in June. An extract from Iungerich’s letter containing information about Krivosh has been forwarded to Mr. Sellner. Pendleton writes that he ran into Miss Iris Briscoe on his way into school that morning. She recently applied for a teaching position, but along with several others, was turned down in favor of Miss Vera Bergstrom. Briscoe has apparently finished her work at Columbia and will soon be returning home to England. Pendleton writes that although he likes Briscoe, she was “not quite adaptable” during her time at the Academy. He adds, “American girls are hard on foreign teachers.” Names mentioned: Mr. (Will) Caldwell, Rev. M. Krivosh, Mrs. (Viola Wolcott) Rennels, Mr. (Harold or Anton) Sellner, Miss Iris Briscoe, Miss Vera Bergstrom
