Identifier: RG.004.01

Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Pendleton writes, “I have always felt that the use is the dedication, and that while a formal ceremony may with propriety follow, yet that when the use precedes, it takes something away from the after solemnity. I hope therefore, that you can in some way circumvent David’s juvenile determination to be first.” Iungerich should write to Pendleton when the date of the dedication is decided. Pendleton’s schedule is often arranged at least a month in advance. Pendleton reports that the kindergarten in Bryn Athyn is not currently in session due to an outbreak of chicken pox. Miss Scalbom is very ill, and the school is facing several uncertainties. Names mentioned: Miss (Susan) Scalbom, David (P. Lindsay?)
