Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich, 1929-04-16
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Fallout in Bryn Athyn has continued following rumors of “opposition services” held by Vincent (Odhner). Pendleton writes that Odhner’s mid-term resignation was not entirely a disappointment as it what somewhat anticipated. Odhner informed Pendleton that he had another job and that he would not be returning to the school, and Pendleton did not attempt to persuade him to stay. Although there were difficulties in putting a new roster together, everyone felt that it was for the best as it was assumed that Odhner would take little interest in his classes if he stayed. Iungerich’s letter to Pendleton was discussed at the last Consistory meeting, and Pendleton will ask Mr. Doering to give Iungerich a verbal account of the meeting. Names mentioned: Vincent (Odhner), Mr. Doering
