Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich, 1928-11-16
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Pendleton gives Iungerich some pastoral advice; He writes, “I am shy of entangling alliances. There is always a quid pro quo, and sometimes the quid is larger than the quo. However, deal tenderly with youthful enthusiasms. While they do not look far beyond the first objective, yet there is good service in them.” Pendleton reports that they did not mean for the Charter Day banquet to turn political. It was meant in good humor, and that no offense was intended. Pendleton regrets that Iungerich was unable to be in Bryn Athyn for the Charter Day celebrations.
