Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich, 1928-09-20
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Eldred Edward Iungerich in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Pendleton acknowledges Iungerich’s letters of Sept. 13th and 17th. Pendleton will communicate with Gilbert Smith, pastor of the Glenview society, to see if he (Pendleton) can change his travel plans in order to visit Glenview first and Pittsburgh last. Pendleton feels that a letter to Mr. Wynter regarding the disposal of the French books in Paris would be futile as the current owners of the books are within their legal rights to throw them away. Pendleton is unclear if the General Church desires to purchase the books and if an offer has been made. Pendleton reports that the academy schools have successfully opened, however Iungerich’s presence is missed. Names mentioned: Gilbert (Smith), Mr. (David) Wynter, George (DeCharms), Hugo (Odhner)
