Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fernand Hussenet in Saint Cloud, Seine et Oise, France. Pendleton has just returned from a vacation with his family in the mountains of New York and has received Hussenet’s letters of July 23rd and August 4th. Pendleton is happy to hear that the June 19th celebrations of Hussenet’s society were successful. Pendleton sends congratulations on the birth of Hussenet’s new granddaughter, Monique Jeunechamp. Of the death of Mlle. Turpault, Pendleton writes, “we may well regard [it] as a spiritual gain, since the church in this world is dependent upon the growth of the church in the other life.” Names mentioned: Monique Jeunechamp, Mlle.
