Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fernand Hussenet, 1929-02-05
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fernand Hussenet in Saint Cloud, Seine et Oise, France. Pendleton acknowledges Hussenet’s letter of December 12th with enclosed reports. He shares Hussenet’s feeling of enthusiasm for the General Church and is happy to know that 1928 London Assembly impressed Hussenet so favorably. Of the Assembly, Pendleton writes, “For myself it was one of the greatest occasions of my life. The realization that it was an epoch in our history was borne in upon me at the time very forcibly.” The Annual Council meetings have opened in Bryn Athyn, and Pendleton regrets that not all the Church’s ministers are able to be present. Names mentioned: Mrs. (Beatrice) Pendleton
