Pendleton thanks Hussenet for his Christmas greeting and his sympathies for the death of Pendleton’s brother, Bishop W. F. Pendleton. Pendleton feels that although the Church has suffered a natural loss by his brother’s death, it has made “a definite spiritual gain, in that his spirit abides with us the more powerfully.” Pendleton looks forward to meeting Hussenet at the upcoming London Assembly.
