Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fernand Hussenet, 1927-02-14
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fernand Hussenet in Paris, France. Pendleton has received Hussenet’s letter of January 2nd and his proposal was presented to the assembled ministers. In the discussion which followed, Pendleton reports “it was pointed out by several of the ministers present that notably free and open discussion of questions of importance has characterized our proceedings from the beginning. Yet we have the difficulty of a far flung diocese to hamper us in this respect.” The Church is intending to call a General Assembly in London in 1928, and Pendleton hopes that the pastors of several different European countries will be present, including Hussenet.
