Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fernand Hussenet, 1926-06-26
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fernand Hussenet in Saint Cloud, Seine et Oise, France. Pendleton sends congratulations on the marriage of Hussenet’s son, Rene, to Miss Rolande Herteler. Pendleton has sent three blank membership applications to be filled out by Mr. Jules August Delhotal, Mrs. Marie Louise Delhotal, and Mr. Henri Eustache Turpault. Pendleton confirms that Turpault’s daughter is too young, as “only those who have reached the age of rationality or have become adult are formally received into the General Church.” Pendleton is sorry that Hussenet is having difficulty making the rent payments for his congregation’s place of worship, and he promises to bring Hussenet’s case before that Executive Committee at their next meeting to try to secure funding. Pendleton was pleased to hear of the intended baptisms of Hussenet’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law on the 19th of June. Pendleton reports that the recent General Assembly in Kitchener, Canada, was successful, and that the “old Academy spirit was much in evidence.” Names mentioned: Rene Hussenet, Miss Rolande Herteler, Mr. Jules August Delhotal, Mrs. Marie Louise Delhotal, Mr. Henri Eustache Turpault, Mrs. (Stephanie) Hussenet
