Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fernand Hussenet in Saint Cloud, Paris, France. Pendleton has received Hussenet’s letter of July 27th with enclosed photograph of his congregation. Pendleton thanks Hussenet for his toast at the 19th of June luncheon. Pendleton sends congratulations on the engagement of Hussenet’s son Elie to Miss Russel, which he believes is an encouraging sign for the future of the Church in France; He writes, “Nothing is more certain than that the future (humanly speaking) lies with those who marry within the Church and raise their children in the faith.” In Bryn Athyn, they are having a quiet summer with school closed and many families away on vacation.
