Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fernand Hussenet, 1917-09-07
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fernand Hussenet in Saint Cloud, France. French copy attached. Pendleton spoke in Hussenet’s favor at a recent meeting of the Executive Committee, and while the Church’s regular funds are exhausted by current undertakings, a special contribution of $100 was raised for Hussenet in appreciation of his service to the Church. Mr. Alden will forward the money immediately. Pendleton requests that Hussenet keep him updated about the state of the New Church society in France. Pendleton would like to know if Hussenet and Mr. Flon have resolved their differences and if Flon has been successful in his attempt to form a separate society. In Bryn Athyn, they are busy preparing for school opening. They hope for a useful year in spite of the fact that all of their active young men have gone to join the War effort.
