Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Henry Heinrichs in Denver, CO, USA. Pendleton regrets that Heinrichs was unable to attend the February mid-year meetings in Bryn Athyn. Pendleton reports that the “Pfeiffer doctrine” was “thoroughly repudiated as to its essential features” and he doubts they will ever have a meeting of such intensity again. Regarding Denver, Pendleton advises Heinrichs that “a pastor ought not to resign because of a state of mind in himself” and therefore he should take some time and consult with the society before taking action. Pendleton does not think the Church will be able to relocate Heinrichs to Peace River if he resigns from Denver, but it is possible he may be transferred to the Kitchener Society.
