Letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary to Rev. Henry Heinrichs, 1924-01-07
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary, Freda Pendleton, to Rev. Henry Heinrichs in Denver, CO, USA. F. Pendleton explains that the Bishop assumed Heinrichs would know he needs a blue stole for his upcoming ordination into the second degree of the priesthood. F. Pendleton informs Heinrichs that he can obtain the needed material from Miss Margaret Bostock if he writes to her quickly; Bostock will prepare the fabric and lining and will let Heinrichs know how much it costs. The Chancel Guild in Bryn Athyn keeps a supply of velvet on hand so that ministers’ stoles will be as much alike as possible. F. Pendleton adds that it is customary for a society to present the stole to their pastor. F. Pendleton feels sure that Heinrichs’ wife (Ruona Roschman Heinrichs) will know how to make the stole beautifully.
