Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Gyllenhaal, 1926-04-12
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Gyllenhaal in Colchester, England. Pendleton acknowledges Gyllenhaal’s letter of March 26th. There has been a miscommunication with the Pitcairns, and it is unclear how much money they are offering towards travel expenses for Gyllenhaal to attend the Kitchener Assembly. Pendleton hopes Gyllenhaal will be able to come and that he will present a paper or give an address. Mr. (Gustaf) Baeckstrom will attend, but Mr. (Ernst) Pfeiffer will not. Pendleton has been greatly concerned about Mr. (R.J.) Tilson’s health, but he understands from Gyllenhaal’s letter that Tilson will soon be able to return to work. Pendleton will write to Tilson and ask him to preside over the British Assembly and be the celebrant. Pendleton requests that Gyllenhaal officially call the Assembly in the Bishop’s name. Pendleton ends the letter writing that he has just spoken to Raymond (Pitcairn), and Gyllenhaal’s traveling expenses will be taken care of. Names mentioned: the Pitcairns, Mr. (Gustaf) Baeckstrom, Mr. (Ernst) Pfeiffer, Mr. (R.J.) Tilson, Mr. Synnestvedt, Raymond (Pitcairn)
