He writes, “The difficulty in the situation as I see it is that you cannot suffer a decrease and that if Mr. Deltenre goes to England he will inevitably lose as a result of the difference in the rate of exchange.” Pendleton suggests Gyllenhaal use his judgement in writing to Deltenre about this “personal and rather delicate matter.”
