Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Gyllenhaal, 1923-09-07
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Gyllenhaal in London, England. Upon returning from Ocean City, Pendleton received Gyllenhaal’s letters with enclosures of July 30th, Aug. 10th, and Aug. 13th. Pendleton has heard that the British Assembly was very successful, and he would like to thank Gyllenhaal and Mr. Tilson for their efforts. Pendleton thought Mr. Bjorck’s paper was well written and would like to see it in print, but only as “a production of Mr. Bjorck and not as a pronouncement of doctrine for the General Church.” Pendleton approves of Gyllenhaal’s “bold suggestion” and would like to help him, but he will need to find money for the additional expense; He will keep Gyllenhaal informed of his progress. Names mentioned: Mr. (Robert J.) Tilson, Mr. (Albert) Bjorck
