Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Gyllenhaal in London, England. Pendleton has received Gyllenhaal’s note from Theodore (Pitcairn) in which he expresses his wish to hold a special service to prepare the public hall for the sacred uses that will be performed there during the Colchester Assembly. Pendleton suggests a “temporary consecration” rather than a full “dedication” as the building will revert to multiple uses once the Assembly is over. Names mentioned: Theodore (Pitcairn), Mr. (R. J.)
