Letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary to Rev. Fred E. Gyllenhaal, 1919-03-20
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary, Freda Pendleton, to Rev. Fred E. Gyllenhaal in Durban, Natal, South Africa. F. Pendleton acknowledges Gyllenhaal’s letter to the Bishop of Jan. 20th. The Bishop and Theodore (Pitcairn) will soon be arriving in Durban before traveling to Sydney, Australia. F. Pendleton is glad that Gyllenhaal has at last received the cable sent from the USA and that the delay did not interfere with his plans too much. F. Pendleton is anxious to know the state of the Bishop’s health after the long sea voyage. She asks that Gyllenhaal inform that Bishop that she has forwarded a letter that arrived for him to the care of Mr. Morse in Australia. F. Pendleton is interested to hear of Gyllenhaal’s trip to Basutoland and whether Theodore (Pitcairn)’s presence will restore the people’s faith in the General Church.
