Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Gyllenhaal in Bombay, India. Pendleton informs Gyllenhaal of changes to the General Church’s position as it relates to Mr. Bhatt and his followers. They have recently formed their own New Church organization in India. The money that was sent for Mr. Patel to come to America has been returned. The meeting which instituted this organization was presided over by Mr. Morris, meaning that Conference influences prevailed. Pendleton remains hopeful that the Indian Church will eventually turn to the Academy in time. Pendleton writes that the Mauritians are looking to the General Church for guidance, and he thinks they will receive Gyllenhaal warmly.
