Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Willis L. Gladish, 1929-11-21
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Willis L. Gladish. Pendleton has received Gladish’s letter of Nov. 12th. Pendleton writes that his last trip (to South Africa?) was very successful; 14 natives were ordained. Mrs. (Beatrice) Pendleton’s account of the trip will soon be published in the New Church Life. Pendleton is interested in the planned meeting of the two Illinois societies; He hopes they will be able to organize a daily bus to take the Chicago society children out to the Glenview school. Pendleton asks about Gladish’s plans for finding a church building for the Sharon Church, and he reports on the rapid progress of the new Assembly Hall in Bryn Athyn. Pendleton tells Gladish that he and his wife enjoyed seeing Gladish’s son and daughter-in-law, Victor and Lucy, during their recent trip to Colchester, UK. Names mentioned: Mrs. (Beatrice) Pendleton, Victor Gladish, Lucy Gladish, Mrs. Gladish
