 Item
Identifier: RG.004.01

Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Willis L. Gladish in Chicago, IL, USA. Pendleton has received Gladish’s last letter with a report of the annual meeting. He notes that with 70 members, Gladish seems to have a thriving society, and he compares this to his time in Chicago when he struggled to keep the group going. Pendleton thinks the group could benefit from a full-time pastor, and he is sorry that they do not feel ready to take on that responsibility yet. Pendleton reports that Theodore Pitcairn has returned to Bryn Athyn to assist in Church work. Pitcairn is conducting afternoon missionary services, sometimes drawing an attendance of 80 or so strangers. Names mentioned: John Forrest, Theodore Pitcairn
