Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Willis L. Gladish, 1925-04-02
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Willis L. Gladish in Chicago, IL, USA. Pendleton has received Gladish’s letter of March 30th with enclosed membership applications for Mr. Wilson and his grandmother Mrs. Porter. He notes with approval that Mr. Wilson and Mrs. Porter have decided to join the Sharon Church; Pendleton feels that, when feasible, all isolated members should be part of the nearest society. Pendleton writes that the “Wunch-Gould influence” is “deadly”; He hears that at Cambridge, they speak openly to the students of the “failing New Church” without regret. George DeCharms will soon return to Bryn Athyn after traveling south for his heath to St. Petersburg, Florida where Mr. Nelson has apparently gathered a sizable circle of New Church followers. Names mentioned: Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Porter, (Rev. William F.?) Wunch, (Rev. E. M. L.?) Gould, George DeCharms, Mr. S. G. Nelson, Mr. Waelchli, Mrs. Gladish
