Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Willis L. Gladish, 1925-03-23
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Willis L. Gladish. Pendleton has received Gladish’s letter of March 15th with enclosed membership applications for Mrs. Cronwall and Miss Cronwall. Pendleton is interested in Gladish’s visit to Clinton; Pendleton suspects that as the Convention Church declines, the General Church will take on more responsibility for Convention’s societies. He warns that “Convention authorities have gotten after us more than once for what they claim as invasions of their field,” and so he advises Gladish to let Mr. Landenberger know that Gladish was delivering lectures in Clinton by invitation. Pendleton is glad to hear that John Forrest continues to attend services regularly, and he informs Gladish that they are expecting George DeCharms back in Bryn Athyn in April. Names mentioned: Mrs. Cronwall, Miss Cronwall, Mrs. Gladish, Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Wilson, Mr. Landenberger, John Forrest, George DeCharms
