Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Willis L. Gladish in Chicago, IL, USA. Pendleton was delighted to hear that Gladish’s son, Victor, has decided to study for the ministry and that he is engaged to Miss Lucy Wright. After consulting with Mr. (Alfred) Acton, Pendleton suggests that Victor should study another year in college, along with Vincent Odhner and Norman Reuter, before the three of them begin theological school. Pendleton explains the details of the theological school stipend and asks Gladish to tell Victor that he will be given either the theological stipend or a college scholarship. Pendleton informs Gladish that they have called Karl Alden to serve as the Principle of the Boys Academy. Mr. Finkeldey will continue as Physical Director and teacher in the lower grades of the secondary school.
