Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Willis L. Gladish in Franklin Park, IL, USA. Upon retuning from Florida, Pendleton has received Gladish’s letter of March 17th. Pendleton reports on the financial state of the General Church; As all the Church’s available funds have been “employed in directions that do not allow of withdrawal,” they have had to find ways of cutting down on running expenses and will be unable to fund the work suggested by Mr. Hansen. Pendleton is concerned about the state of the Church now that the US has entered the war. Sixteen boys from Bryn Athyn have already enlisted to fight.
