Pendleton has been busy preparing for the General Assembly, which at first appeared as if it would be poorly attended, but then turned out a record attendance of about 230 guests. The questions which have been disturbing the Church were brought as near to a solution as Pendleton feels could be expected. Pendleton was disappointed to hear from Mr. Doering that Gladish’s son, Donald, will not be attending the Academy next year, although he has just received word that that Donald may attend after all.
