Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Victor J. Gladish, 1930-09-30
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Victor J. Gladish in Colchester, England. Pendleton has received Gladish’s letter of Sept. 5th. Pendleton has just returned from an automobile trip out to Pittsburg with a group of people from Bryn Athyn to attend the dedication of the new church building there. Pendleton appoints Gladish as secretary for the upcoming British Assembly. Pendleton discusses whether to appoint a permanent Assembly Treasurer; He supposes that the Treasurer’s job would be to raise money to give to the society which is in charge of hosting the Assembly. Pendleton does not feel he has enough knowledge to know whether the position of Treasurer is necessary, and he suggests that the matter should be discussed at the next Assembly. Pendleton is interested in what Gladish writes about the school in Colchester; If Alan Waters were to move to Colchester, Pendleton thinks they would be able to establish a stronger New Church basis for the school. Names mentioned: Mrs. (Beatrice) Pendleton, C. R. (Charles?) Pendleton, K. R. (Karl?) Alden, Mr. Anderson, Alan Waters
