Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Victor J. Gladish, 1929-01-02
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Victor J. Gladish. Pendleton was delighted to receive Gladish’s letter of Nov. 12th and hear how his work in Colchester is progressing. Pendleton had heard from other sources that things were going very well there. Pendleton has also just received Gladish’s letter of December 18th asking for advice regarding the school in Colchester. Pendleton thinks that a mission school is acceptable if a strictly New Church school is not possible, but that it should be gradually changed into an all New Church school over time, as this is the only type of school that seems to have any kind permanence. Pendleton writes that maintaining a school in a society the size of Colchester will call for some compromises. Names mentioned: Muriel (no surname given), Lucy (Gladish)
