Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Alan Gill, 1931-05-26
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Alan Gill in Kitchener, ON, Canada. Pendleton advises Gill on how to handle the Kitchener Society’s disagreements over the new church building project. He writes, “Your duty is to hold the members together. . . It is better to have any building, or no building, than a divided and broken society.” Pendleton counsels Gill to put off making any decisions until the society can agree on a plan. If it is no longer possible to wait, Gill’s job is to hold as much of the society together as possible.
