Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gaston J. Fercken in Lausanne, Switzerland. Pendleton is very pleased with he results of Fercken’s work in Geneva and suggests he direct his attentions there. Pendleton advises patience regarding the Church Committee which has formed in Lausanne without Fercken’s or the Bishop’s consent; Many of the members are new commers to the General Church and are not acquainted with its customs. Pendleton understands M. Regamey’s hesitancy in accepting the doctrine of New Church baptism and the doctrine of the Writings as the Word; Pendleton thinks these ideas must be realized slowly and he is glad the Regamey took communion even if he is not baptized. Pendleton writes that as with Holy Supper, baptism should be administered to anyone desiring it.
