Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gaston J. Fercken in Geneva, Switzerland. Bishop W.F. Pendleton has received Fercken’s letter of Aug. 28th. The Bishop wishes N.D. Pendleton to express his sympathy for Fercken’s difficulties brought on by the war in Europe. Mr. (Eldred) Iungerich and company have safely arrived back in Bryn Athyn. Mr. (Theodore?) Pitcairn remains in London, hoping to establish communication with Mr. (Ernst) Deltenre in Brussels and with his glass works in Belgium. Everyone is Bryn Athyn has been very interested by Iungerich’s account of his trip to Europe and the various people he met; It is felt that these trips are of great use to the Church and Pendleton hopes others will be able to make similar trips in the future. Pendleton hopes his letter find Fercken, his wife, and his daughter in good health.
