Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Ernst Deltenre, 1924-03-31
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Ernst Deltenre in Brussels, Belgium. Following Mr. Hussenet’s threat to use the law in Pairs to keep other bodies of the New Church from working there, Pendleton requests that Deltenre make clear to the readers of “La Nouvelle Jerusalem” that the General Church has a policy of fair and open dealings with other bodies of the New Church. However, he does not wish this message to appear as a public rebuke of Mr. Hussenet’s statement, which Pendleton thinks Hussenet wrote thoughtlessly from irritation. Pendleton will travel with his wife and Theodore Pitcairn to Europe this summer. They will visit Deltenre in Brussels before attending the British Assembly.
