Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Ernst Deltenre in Brussels, Belgium. From a recent communication to “La Nouvelle Jerusalem”, it appears to Pendleton that there is some confusion about the attitude of the General Church towards other bodies of the New Church. Pendleton writes that the policy of the General Church is “to ask for itself a free and open field in any and every locality, and also to recognize that other bodies of the Church have the same right, and that in their exercise of this right they should be in no way interfered with.” Pendleton requests that this policy be made clear to the readers of “La Nouvelle Jerusalem”.
