Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Ernst Deltenre, 1920-02-24

Identifier: RG.004.01

Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Ernst Deltenre in Brussels, Belgium. While in South Africa last summer for the admission of the Durban Society into the General Church, Pendleton had the idea of hosting an International Church Council in Bryn Athyn for the purpose of bringing together the leaders of the Academy movement from all around the world. He recently presented this idea to the Consistory and the Executive Committee where it was met with approval. The Council will be held in June, and the Church will defray the cost of traveling expenses for the ministers. Pendleton hopes that Deltenre will be able to attend. Pendleton has received an interesting letter from Theodore Pitcairn about his visit to Brussels, Paris, and Lausanne. Pendleton has not heard from Mr. (Fred) Gyllenhaal and does not know if he will be called to minister to the Peckham Rye and Colchester societies in England.
