Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. George DeCharms, 1930-07-28
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. George DeCharms in Ashokan, NY, USA. Care of Mr. Raymond Pitcairn. In response to DeCharms’ letter of July 26th, Pendleton writes that there is no reason DeCharms should return at any date as Pendleton will be in Bryn Athyn all summer and the preaching engagements can be easily taken care of. Pendleton is happy to hear that DeCharms and his wife Fidelia have enjoyed the rest and recreation. He hopes they will stay as long as possible because the coming church and school season will be strenuous. Pendleton is glad that DeCharms and Raymond Pitcairn did not think there was anything in Pendleton’s letter to Theodore Pitcairn which would prevent him retuning to work in Bryn Athyn. Pendleton hopes he will return. Names mentioned: Fidelia (Asplundh DeCharms), Raymond (Pitcairn), Theodore (Pitcairn), Mildred (Pitcairn)
